Back to Project List

The City of Fresno and the San Joaquin River Conservancy are working to extend the existing Lewis S. Eaton. Trail from SR 41 at Woodward Park to Spano Park near Palm and Nees, including approximately 2.4 miles of new trails, trailhead parking, and amenities. The Eaton Trail extension project will add three access points from Palm and Nees, Riverview Drive, and Woodward West, plus a bus access for groups sanctioned by the San Joaquin River Conservancy into the Fresno River West area. The River West Eaton Trail project design tries to align the project with the rest of the San Joaquin River Parkway projects to promote ‘A River For All’ and tell the story of the river, of how it is linked to the surrounding urban fabric, the people, the ecology, the history, and the future of West Eaton and beyond.
